Wishful Wednesday: Bedtime stories

On this Wishful Wednesday, I wish when you go to sleep tonight that you remember to read a bedtime story. Or get someone to read one to you. Then add a glass of warm milk, some Polka dot fuzzy pajamas and sink into a happy dream land.

I love this dream state picture and its a great image to remember while trying to fall asleep.

Doesn't she look like she could be in a glamour Alice in Wonderland with the bright colors?

I use to find ladybugs in the tall grass. Now I sometimes see them in my dreams...

Please come over later and help me move my bed into this peaceful sling. Ahhhhh...

Goodnight Moon was one of my favorite bedtime stories. I used to love being read to. When I work with children, I continue this tradition by reading it to them.

Happy Wishful Wednesday everyone! As I'm a light sleeper, tonight I wish to fall soundly asleep. I promise to write down my dreams if you do. Did you used to enjoy a bedtime story? Don't you wish we still did?

Wishful Wednesday: Dinner party

On this Wishful Wednesday, I wish we could have a dinner party together. The kind of party where we eat great food, giggle and learn more about one another. Having little Martha Stewart's entertaining touches are great, but after a glass of wine I no longer notice them. Throw together some candles, flowers and friends and I'm good to go.

Wait, is this picture of children helping in the kitchen. How wonderful! Does this really happen?

I love this fashion stressed picture; she looks too fabulous to not be eating her meal.

A friend laughing is the best medicine...

Let's have our dinner party outside. As long as the weather is OK, I think this is a lovely alternative to eating inside.

This takes 'going green' to an entirely new level.

Please hold my seat as I go and get another helping of food. And who just said a funny joke? Tell me, do you enjoy dinner parties? When was the last time you went to one? Happy Wishful Wednesday lovely. (Check out this wonderful dinner party book by Williams-Sonoma).

Wishful Wednesday: Vintage Halloween

On this Wishful Wednesday, I wish you happy memories of your favorite Halloween costume. Some of my fav vintage costumes were; when I dressed up like a deck of cards, dyed my hair pink and orange and became Cyndi Lauper and when I was older I dressed up as a pink genie and walked Castro Street. Trust me the men looked better in a dress then I did.

What's a Halloween without some candy corn? Well, a Canadian Halloween. I honestly do not remember seeing candy corn until we moved to the States. We so knew Reddi Wip though!

There was one house in our neighborhood that the children didn't like trick or treating at because the owner was a dentist. And instead of candy, we would receive an apple and a toothbrush. Don't you think it's time I got over this?

Work it, work it...Own it, own it!

Oh yum! Is this is cake? Hold on as I go and get a fork.

And our vintage Halloween wouldn't be complete without the mention of Elvira, Mistress of the Dark. She was a character from my childhood. Yes, I know this explains so much!

Ah, I'm feeling so nostalgic. And even though I've lived in America for, gosh, 19 years I still wonder how I will stay warm in my Halloween costume. You see, I have to remind myself that I no longer live in Toronto and snow is not coming to San Francisco. What was your favorite Halloween costume?

Wishful Wednesday: Day at the office

On this Wishful Wednesday, I wanted to create a perfect day at the office filled with design and fashion. There's something so crisp about wearing a white and tailored shirt to work. Pair this with a blue necklace and some red shoes and you'll be stylish all day. What would make me even happier, is wearing this shirt the entire day without getting it wrinkled! I also love the color of the retro and home offices.

That's it! I'm going into the office tomorrow and posting every sticky note I can find. Does this mean I should include sticking myself? Well, I'm going to need a lot of post-its!

Isn't this the best home office you've ever seen? If you don't have the room, then just make your office out of a closet.

Wouldn't this be a perfect picture for today's harassment lawyers?

Pearls can make any casual outfit into stylish work clothes. Designing your office space, can make you feel comfortable and get you through the day. I loved this Wishful Wednesday at the office, didn't you? How will you spend your Wishful Wednesday?

Wishful Wednesday: Vegas!

On this Wishful Wednesday, I wish for a wonderful trip to Vegas this weekend. I hope to meet lot's of lovely blogger ladies that can teach me a thing or two. It would also be wonderful to meet the minds behind the blogs I've been admiring. Do you think anyone would want to meet me?

And then we'll go see the Las Vegas strip from the Bellagio hotel.

Then, I hope to see lot's of brides and grooms getting married. I have so much respect for those couples that run off to Vegas and have Elvis marry them at the Little White Wedding Chapel.

I hope to see more flower displays like this one at the Bellagio hotel.

And we'll have to hit at least one buffet. Have any suggestions on where I should go?

And I also wish to win big this weekend in Vegas. Well, who doesn't? Have a wonderful wishful Wednesday!

Wishful Wednesday: feminine ways

On this Wishful Wednesday, I'm keeping with the feminine theme that's flirty and lovely. I loved reading your comments on what makes you feel feminine. Perfumes skin, a great pair of jeans and faces without makeup were some of my favorites answers. And can we just have a silent moment for this cherry dress. I'm pretty I just died and went to heaven! Can someone please send this dress to me?

There's something really genuine and sexy about this photo. Yes, I know she's modeling, but the relaxed feel and sunlight off her hair makes me smile.

I always do this when I'm in the bathtub! Don't you?

You can find some of these hair embellishments at Jest Jewels in San Francisco.

I love the color of this sweater. Now would I have to wear something underneath it?

Beautiful feminine spread courtesy of InStyle magazine. Aren't those shoes fabulous?

To get this look you can try Dazzleglass lipgloss by MAC.

To me this is a very feminine and natural pose on the beach. Don't you always sit like this? I hope you have a skirt twirling, sunny and lovely Wishful Wednesday. Tell me which one of these pictures is your favorite? I just love the bathtub pic.
