How perfect is this inspirational quote written by Jane Austen from the book Emma? "One cannot have too large a party-"
It's so true, as soon as you've created your party guest list your guests multiply and another partner is brought and another co-worker is invited.
At this point I find it best to let go of your guest list and let the party take over...
I enjoy large and small parties. Large for the grandeur of the event and for the possibilities of the night, and small so I can sit and connect with the other guests.
As this is the time of year where we are all hurrying around to holiday parties, buying gifts for one and another and taking some downtime with family and friends, I hope you can stop and enjoy this time of year.
Try to live in the moment of one year passing and another year beginning...
This year change has come to so many of us. I am thrilled that I have been able to share my year with you. So what does this inspirational quote mean to you? Do you feel comfortable in large or smaller settings? Happy weekend sweeties!

Hi Laura! It seems as I get older the smaller the get together the better. When I was younger, I could just jump right in with both feet and meet people no matter how big the event or get together was. The older I've gotten, I guess you can say the more skiddish I've gotten. I don't even like my hubby's family get togethers because there are so many people. Just call me ol' fuddy duddy!

I enjoy gatherings, both large and small. I have a large family (4 brothers, 3 sisters, lots of nieces and nephews and now they are all having babies... 9 at last count) so our annual Christmas party and summer BBQ usually has upwards of 40 people. I also enjoy Christmas dinner with John's family, which usually consists of 5 of us.
What a great quote...and I agree!! You can't just have enough people around during the holidays!

The more the merrier! Btw, that chalkboard is so beautiful!
I love Jane Austen Quotes!! The more the better!! I love gatherings!!
have a great weekend!
I believe you can have a big bib party with just a small number of people as well!
It all depends on your idea of "big".
But I love them both. Small intimate "big" parties and crowded, bumping elbows with your neighbor parties.
Any 'ol party makes me smile!
Your video of SF is great!
I want to see more - more ordinary life, how people walk & talk in their own areas...would be great to see two opposite style of neighborhoods...and people, their street wear...etc.
Have a great Sunday!
I'm with you- I love a variety of both small and large. They both have their benefits, to be sure!
I like to have the urge to control everything... otherwise I get anxious.. like taking public transportation... I'm always seeing perfection.. maybe because am so unperfect.
